Automne finished

In september 2014 ben ik aan deze gestart en vandaag is hij eindelijk af. Niet dat ik zo lang er aan gewerkt heb, maar hij vloog telkens weer in de kast. Zaterdag heb ik beslist dat hij af moest dus geen andere borduurwerken tot nu.

De franse knoopjes zijn vervangen door kraaltjes en de kruissteekjes bij de egel heb ik veranderd door blauwachtige kraaltjes om de regen voor te stellen. Jammer genoeg zie je het niet goed door het licht.

In September 2014 I started this one and finally finished it today. Not that I worked on it for so long or that it was so hard, but it kept ending up in the closet. Saturday I decided it had to be finished so no other cross stitch pieces in between.

The french knots I changed for beads and the cross stitches near the hedgehog I have changed with blue shimmer like beads to represent the rain. Sadly you don't see it well because of the light.

Baby gift

Vandaag een baby cadeautje afgewerkt zodat het klaar is om af te geven. Het was geen eenvoudige opdracht, het slabbetje is zo klein dat er niet veel opties waren om te borduren. Heel veel mooie letters en alfabetten gevonden, maar helaas bij het uittellen waar ze allemaal te groot dus dan maar beslist om zelf maar iets in elkaar te prutsen.

Het beertje komt van bij Het Borduurbloempje, garen is Jade van Nina's Threads.

Today I finished a baby gift so it's ready to be gifted. It wasn't an easy challenge, the bib is so small there weren't a lot of options to stitch. I found a lot of beautiful letters and alphabets but sadly they were all too big so I decided to put something together myself.

Twee berichten in een week, dat is al een tijd geleden. Pagina 24 is ook klaar, maar natuurlijk was dit geen grote pagina, 12 steken breed. De volgende pagina is de rest van het rode boek, ik denk een kaart en een deel van de tafel. Opnieuw een volledige pagina, dus het zal wat langer duren.

Two posts in a week, that's been a while. Page 24 is also done, but offcourse it wasn't a big page, only 12 stitches wide. The next page is the rest of the red book, I think a map and part of the table. Again a full page, so it might take me while.

En omdat er weer een rij pagina's af is natuurlijk ook weer een foto van het geheel genomen. De kleuren zijn wat verschillend, maar de ene is genomen met het licht (geel achtig licht) aan en de andere zonder.

And because another row of pages is finished I also wanted a picture of the piece as it is now. The colours are a bit differen, but one is taking with the light on, the other one without the light on.

Beetje bij beetje steekje per steekje raakt Witching wel af. Vandaag heb ik eindelijk pagina 23 afgekregen. Het boek ziet er prachtig uit en tijdens het borduren vroeg ik me soms wel af hoe het werd, tot de laatste steken er in gezet werden, dan werd het pas echt duidelijk. Ik vind deze keltische knoop zo mooi geworden. Pagina 24 is maar een kleintje, 12 steken breed en 88 steken hoog, dus ik hoop deze ook snel af te krijgen.

Bit by bit, stitch by stitch Witching progresses. Today I finally finished page 23. The book looks wonderful and while stitching I was wondering how it would become cause I couldn't see it form. Untill the last stitches I was still wondering how all the dark colours would be and then I finally saw it. Page 24 is only a little one, 12 stitches by 88 stitches, so I hope to finish this one soon aswell.

Ook doe ik mee aan Stitch from Stash deel 2 dat loopt van juli tot en met december. De bedoeling is dat je een maandelijks budget hebt en daar niet onder gaat voor het kopen van borduurspullen/patronen/stof/... Een aantal dingen tellen niet voor het budget zoals naalden of inlijstkosten. Je kan 'geld' verdienen door dingen af te maken. Bij een Haed kan je de individuele pagina's ingeven als een finish. Ik heb gekozen voor een budget van 25€ per maand en voorlopig ben ik er nog niet aan geweest. Voor deze pagina mag ik dus 15€ toevoegen aan mijn budget en je mag ook je budget overdragen naar de volgende maand.

I also joined the Stitch from Stash part 2 that goes from July til December. The meaning of this group is that you have a monthly budget and don't go over it for buying craft stuff. Needles and framing costs (and some other things) don't count against your budget. You can earn 'money' by finishing things. With a Haed you can give in individual pages as a finish. I've choosen for a budget of 25€ a month and I haven't touched it yet. For this page I can add 15eto my budget and you can carry it over to a next month.

An update

Ik heb een hele tijd niet geborduurd maar ben er in eens weer mee bezig. Bijna een pagina klaar.

I haven't stitched in a while but started again this week. I almost finished a page.
